Description of BDO:

1,4-butanediol (BDO) is an important organic and fine chemical raw material, widely used in fields such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, textiles, papermaking, automobiles, and daily chemical industry. BDO can produce tetrahydrofuran (THF), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) γ- GBL and PU Resin, coatings and plasticizers, as well as brighteners for solvents and electroplating industries.

Application of BDO:

1,4-butanediol is an important organic and fine chemical raw material, which is the basic raw material for producing polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) engineering plastics and PBT fibers; PBT plastic is one of the five most promising engineering plastics.

1,4-butanediol is the main raw material for producing tetrahydrofuran, which is an important organic solvent. The polytetramethylene ethylene glycol ether (PTMEG) obtained after polymerization is the basic raw material for producing high elastic spandex (Lycra fiber). Spandex is mainly used for producing high elasticity knitwear such as high-end sportswear and swimwear.

Downstream products of 1,4-butanediol γ- Butyrolactone is a raw material for the production of 2-pyrrolidone and N-methylpyrrolidone products, resulting in a series of high value-added products such as vinyl pyrrolidone and polyvinyl pyrrolidone, which are widely used in fields such as pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics.
