Description of Xylene:
Xylene is a colorless, transparent and aromatic liquid. It is the product of the substitution of two hydrogen atoms on the benzene ring by methyl groups. Its boiling point is 137-140 ºC. Xylene can be divided into three isomers: o-xylene, m-xylene and p-xylene according to the different positions of the two methyl groups. In industry, xylene refers to the mixture of the above isomers and ethyl benzene.
