About the Origin of Mid-Autumn Festival

The Mid-Autumn Festival originated in China and is held on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month every year, usually from early September to early October in the Gregorian calendar. The eighth month of the lunar calendar is the second month of autumn, which was called Zhongqiu or Mid-Autumn in ancient China.
